The location was wonderful, only a couple of blocks from the beach, the zoo, or meeting places to catch tours buses. For those who want to shop, it a great location, streets of stores. Quick bus ride or walk (30-40 min) to Ala Moana mall. Easy access to restaurants, and my favourite places are the smaller places across the street from the hotel that sell Korean Barbecue, or Poke. There are ABC convenience stores located everywhere. My room was well equipped with cooking equipment. The bed was very comfortable. I was on the 8th floor right by the elevator and I couldn’t hear it, which was amazing. The room was fairly updated and nice. The air conditioner is noisy and a bit to close to the bed for my liking, but you adjust after the first night or two.The overhead fan helps as a nice white noise and helps move the cool air around. Bring earplugs to use until you’re adjusted. The street noise was not bad, you have to remember your in busy tourist area, but things quieted down at reasonable hours on the weekends. There was renovations going on during my stay but it wasn’t bothersome and kept to reasonable hours.I loved the energy of the area. You can spend the day at the beach, (rent a chair & umbrella) or buy a beach chair at ABC,. Take some tours, or stroll along the streets for hours. I didn’t use the rooftop pool, I found the area noisy from machinery fans, but others people, especially those with kids were enjoying it. I love not needing a car to get around. There was easy to book shuttle service, or city bus service between airport and hotel. Great times, great vacation.

Amazing place! I have lived in Singapore and Tokyo at amazing condos and have done luxury traveling a lot in Europe. Even though Pacific Monarch is not a luxury property, I feel that it has the " local neighbourhood " vibe which I absolutely love! Here are the reasons that made it great for me: 1. STAFF: The kindest, friendliest and caring staff who are mostly Filipino, other Asians and Hawaiians. They were so kind with the friendliest of smiles, support and service. I actually started to think of them as a welcome member of my holiday as I would walk everyday past them to say good morning and good night as I go about my day. 2. MY ROOM ( QUEEN, PARTIAL OCEAN VIEW ): Although modest and by far, not anything luxurious, there was a really nice, pleasant vibe about it. It felt like it was an apartment that had a life. I love the balcony. 3. CLEANLINESS : The first maid was not so thorough but after mentioning it to the staff on desk, they made sure that my room was cleaned all the time in the best way. I really valued their attention to detail. The maids were always so happy and kind. 4. LOCATION : Amazing location - lively and yet " quiet ". Lots of restaurants, bars on Kuhio. Lots of shops and beach on Waikiki strip. Hotel is wedged between the two roads / areas...so whichever way you go, you won't be starved for bars, restaurants or things to do. Kuhio beach is right across from the hotel and it's so amazing to see the surfers.

We booked stay only and it was a great experience. All necessary amenities were provided, safe, roof pool, jacuzzi, sauna all free of charge. Our room was spacious, clean and cleaned every day, it also had a side view to the ocean. The hotel has a great location in particular - 3 minutes from Waikiki beach! You can easily use public bus there, the bust stops are almost at the doorstep of the hotel. Cutlery and dishes for 4 people for preparation of basic breakfast or dinner were also provided. There are plenty of places to have a lunch from 15$ upwards. There is also a luggage storage store it after check out and possibility to have a shower free of charge / great option for late flights!

Excellent location and very spacious suite. It was very clean. Loved the balcony view! Very close to beach, places to eat, walk, shop, bus stop across the street. Walking distance from everything I needed. Based on research, this was one of the few (mid-tier) Waikiki hotels that even had a microwave. Lots of other kitchen appliances and dishes. That was unexpected. Rooftop pool, hot tub and sauna looked in excellent, clean condition. These were not busy at the time I was there but I didn't have time to make use of them. Overall, a perfect place for solo traveler like me.

LOCATION: Excellent location. Central to everything. Right in front of Kuhio Beach and surrounded by restaurants, bars and stores on both the Waikiki strip and Kuhio Ave behind it. STAFF: Very friendly, kind and helpful. They remember your name and always greet you. VIBE: Although the room was very dated, for some strange reason, it felt "homey" and welcoming. Perhaps it was the partial ocean view and lots of light streaming in.
